Rupert's ideal home
Rupert is looking for a home with adopters who are keen to take him on lots of exciting adventures and will engage him in fun training sessions to help build his confidence. Rupert is a sweet boy who can live with children aged 12 and over who know when he feels uncomfortable and to give space to rest when he needs. He is a polite bean who could live with another calm and relaxed dog who will happily coexist with him. He has a history of living with cats so can live with a cat pending a scent swap. He would be more than happy with polite and friendly walking buddies. Rupert has a little training under his belt, he does a lovely “Sit” and “Paw”, he is keen to learn more for a tasty treat and takes them very gently from the hand. As he has previously lived in a home he has been housetrained, but will likely need a refresher, so access to a private, secure garden is needed. Rupert may be able to be left alone for up to 1-2 hours, but this should be introduced slowly once he has had time to get used to his new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so he can relax and have a snooze! True to his breed, he will need regular grooming, he will be going home on a muzzle disclaimer for the vet as he can be worried by formal handling. Rupert will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes between 7 - 10 days.
Could you be Rupert's perfect match?
Sweet boy Rupert is a 3 and a half year old Cockerpoo, who loves fusses, he will lean in for more once he has gotten to know you, once he is done he will wander off and explore his surroundings. He is not currently really interested in toys and would prefer the company and attention of others. This wonderful dog would love a calm home to settle into and he is looking for his new home now.
