Flynn's ideal home
Two-year-old Flynn is a gentle and loving boy who can be shy when first making friends. He originally entered our care after being found as a stray, which means we have no history on his life before Dogs Trust. Because of this, as well as his sensitive side, Flynn needs a home where the youngest family members are in their later teens. Flynn will calmly approach other dogs on his walk and offer a polite greeting, but can become quite animated when interacting; offering lots of play bows and trying to get the other dog to play. He can need encouragement to come away from the other dogs and is still learning his manners of when he can interact and when he can’t. He could live with another dog who is well socialised and could support his continue learning within real life situations, who can provide him with confidence in new situations. Due to a lack of history around Flynn with other animals, he cannot live with any other animal species. Flynn struggles to be left alone at the centre and can become very unsettled. He will need support with being left in the home, once he has fully settled into his new surroundings.
Could you be Flynn's perfect match?
Flynn walks nicely on the lead and really enjoys being outdoors. He prefers rural walks, where he can have a good sniff about and relax in the peaceful surroundings. While he tolerates traffic, he can be startled in busy and loud environments, so it would be advised to only use busy traffic areas to access quieter locations. Although he is somewhat fussy with his food, Flynn does enjoy food enrichment activities e.g. a rolled towel with his food wrapped in, which helps to keep his busy brain stimulated.
