Finley's ideal home

19-month-old Finley is a miniature Labradoodle who's ready to start his search for a new forever home. Finley needs a home with no other pets and any children in the home will need to be older teens who can respect his boundaries when he's feeling unsure. Finley needs to be kept on a lead in public due to being worried around strangers, so his home should be a quieter environment with a garden to run and play in. Finley would like someone who can keep him company throughout the day until he has settled in enough to introduce leaving hours in a positive way. Everyone in the home should be happy to come and meet Finley a few times to get to know him and to build up a bond. If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying for a dog.

Finley is a young boy who initially came in due to not getting along with the other dog in the home. At the centre he tolerates having walking buddies who are calm and doesn't expect Finley to engage with them, so he wouldn't enjoy being walked in areas where he can't avoid dogs running up to him. Finley loves spending time with his favourite people but he lacks a bit of confidence when meeting someone new. He would benefit from open-minded and kind adopters who are willing to take things slow and help build his confidence as he grows in the home. He already knows a lot of the basics, including housetraining, but learning to walk nicely on a lead is still work in progress. Finley LOVES chasing after tennis balls and once he's done doing laps of zoomies he'll often come over for a cuddle too. Could this fun-loving boy be the one you've been waiting for?
